Medical Dental History Workshop Outline:

With the new Global AAP Periodontal Classification moving away from a solely biofilm model to an inflammation-based model, in periodontal therapy, is your Medical Dental History comprehensive enough to capture all the predisposing & modifying factors affecting every aspect of ADPIE; diagnosis, treatment, planning, evaluation maintenance, prognosis & most importantly, patient outcomes? The Medical Dental History Workshop will capture all the missing pieces needed to successfully incorporate the new Global Periodontal Classification.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Distinguish the purpose of a comprehensive medical/dental health history
  2. Assess when consultation & collaboration with other healthcare professionals is needed
  3. Analyze implications of client health status on all facets of the process of care (ADPIE), especially patient outcomes.
  4. Evaluate the impact predisposing factors (Acquired & Development Conditions) have on diagnosis.
  5. Evaluate the impact modifying factors (Risk Factors) have on progression of periodontal disease.
  6. Analyze predisposing and modify factors to accurately determine prognosis

Tuition Fee: $350 + GST/attendee prior to and including April 30th, 2020 and $397 + GST/attendee after April 30th, 2020 registration. No refunds will be issued after May 5th, 2020.
